In DK Island, Donkey Kong-series spirits appear in the locations the levels were originally (with the exception of Barrel Cannon Canyon Jungle Hijinxs serves as the area's starting point), in the following order: Kritter ( Ropey Rampage), Cranky Kong ( Cranky's Cabin), Zinger ( Reptile Rumble), Enguarde ( Coral Capers), Funky Kong ( Funky's Flights), Candy Kong ( Candy's Save Point), and Diddy Kong ( Very Gnawty's Lair). As its name suggests, there are several Barrel Cannons and Blast Barrels located throughout the level. The fifth and final level of Kongo Jungle, and is therefore considered the hardest level of that world. There are coral walls with items such as bananas. Like the other underwater levels, Coral Capers has no Bonus Areas. Every underwater enemy debuts in this level except Squidge. The Kongs can free Enguarde from an Animal Crate to help defeat some aquatic foes. Kritters often guard the upper or lower steeped areas, Zingers usually lurk around the tires, and Slippas patrol on the ground.Ĭoral Capers is the first underwater level, and is set in a coral reef. The level's elevation varies, and tires are needed to reach the higher ledges. This level takes place inside a cavern tunnel with a bumpy ground. This level introduces the aerial enemy, Zingers, and rolling armadillos, Armies. The main theme of the level is for the Kongs to walk on treetops and swing on Ropes across large abysses. ![]() Ropey Rampage takes place directly after Jungle Hijinxs, and takes place at night during a tropical rainstorm. He has the ability to ram into enemies and walls that patch up Bonus Areas. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong receive assistance from Rambi the Rhino, who appears about halfway through the level. Most of the level is straightforward, but has a few pits near the end. It introduces basic enemies such as Kritters and Gnawties. The original Super Nintendo Entertainment System release shows two halves of Kongo Jungle in separate screens. The cavern's exit leads to the second half of Kongo Jungle, which itself directly leads to a large lake. Most of the area is engulfed in a jungle, but there is a long cavern about midway through.
